18 month old biting/clamping down?

So dd is 18 months and i know she is getting 3 teeth right now 2 in the front and 1 molar but when she nurses on the left side she bites down whiles is nursing its like weird. It hurts and she is leaving teeth marks but im not sure she knows she is doing it... she never does it on the right side... Any ideas on what i should do?

Could be that your supply isn't as good on that side. My dd gets frustrated on one size because it's not her favorite side and the supply isn't as good. I just got a test bite from her this morning. She just almost did a nip not a bite. I pulled her off and set her down (also 18 months!) I think we've just entered into toddler nursing :giggle:

When you feel the latch change and the bite coming push her quickly and firmly into your breast. She will have to open her mouth immediately to breathe since you'll basically be smothering her with your breast. :giggle2:
