Bare Bottles OR Your Suggestion :)

After some thought about whether or not to pump I've decided to at least get a manual pump and at least 2 or 3 bottles to have on hand in case of emergencies. So, in looking at which bottles to get for my breastfed baby, I came across Bare bottles that came out this year and they look pretty awesome. Has anyone used these? Here is a pic:

I am also considering Tommee Tippee which seems to be a favorite of moms (and babies) who mainly breastfeed.

awesome! I may have to lookinto those!

I suggest looking into Breastflow bottles before Tommee Tippee. I like them, butcredit the breastflow for getting Vinny back to the breast.

Those look cool! I tried literally 13 different bottles including TT and the only one that he reliably takes is the Breastflow

Did the Breastflows leak for y'all? This will really be in case of emergencies. However, I will do a trial run. I would hate for it to come down to an emergency situation and she hates them and won't eat!

What I like about the bare bottles is there isn't a long nipple, and it extends with sucking like a real nipple does. My nipples are short (sorry~TMI!), so I think she would be confused with a super long bottle nipple.

I usef Breastflow with DD1 because she wouldnt take any other kind. I grew to hate them...they are a pain to clean and sometimes leak. DD2 takes Playtex Dropins and I like them much better.

Ok, apparently the Bare Bottles have not been released yet. I hope they are soon!

I have a very picky EBF baby and tried a ton of bottles before we found what worked for her. What we found to be the best were the Lansinoh mOmma bottles. DD latches onto them the same as she does the breast. The flow is perfect! Maybe TMI, but I noticed that the shape of the mOmma nipple is pretty much the same as the shape of mine after she nurses, so I suppose that's why she has taken to it so well.

Just another tip...I'm not a huge fan of the round shaped bottle itself. I found that the mOmma nipples fit perfectly onto some of the other bottles I tried like Avent Classic and Think Baby! I've also heard that they fit the wide neck Born Free bottles. The vent is in the nipple, so it really doesn't matter what bottle you use with it as long as it fits :).

The Bare bottles look really cool! I'll have to keep those in mind for this LO.

With DS, we were gifted Breastflow and wide-mouth Dr Browns bottles. The Breastflow were horrible for us. Leaked every time and the milk would get stuck between the nipple parts making DS frustrated. I exchanged them for TT sensitive bottles which weren't any better. DS ended up taking to Dr Browns but I hated washing them. Way too many pieces!!

I've heard good things about the Lansinoh mOmma bottles but haven't actually used them. The Medela Calma looks like it would work well but seems to get more mixed reviews.

I found that the breastflow only leaked if the nipple wasn't screwed on tightly e nough. I also love that they have the regular and disposable option- I had a ton of liners from a bottle that didn't work and I was able to use them with these! They took my LO a few tries to get the hang of, but he had a major bottle preference. Now he hasn't had a bottle all day and only one yesterday!

He refused the Tommee Tippee at first, but now takes it fine. I like the shape a lot.

Playtex NaturaLatch work well for awhile too, but the flow was still too fast for him. The latex nipple worked better for him and I could only find silicone when that one got old and broken (borrowed from a friend).

To help with breastfeeding and nipple preference/confusion I found we had to use wide nipples. But we were ableto get away with the Dr. Brown Preemie nipples in regular size sometimes, though he still would eat too fast.
