Kids at u/s
I was thinking my kids might enjoy coming to my 20wk gender reveal u/s. Are kids generally allowed? Is there a limit to how many people could attend? It would be 3 including DH. DD is 7 and DS 5 so I thought it would be a good way to include them. Any thoughts?

We took DS2, he was 3, to the 20 week u/s. DS1 was in school. He did great.

DH and I brought our 3 kids:8,4,20months. No one ever said they couldn't be there but when DH tried to take pictures the tech said no pics and that the kids werent really allowed there either but that she wouldn't make a deal about it?! It probably depends on the office.

I took my 3 and 6 year old to mine a month ago...they were ecstatic to see their little brother moving around and find out it was fun!

My kids have always come, they enjoy seeing baby.:goodvibes: Between my mother, DH, the kids, the tech and I, there were 8 people crammed in the tiny room and nobody cared. I would actually be quite annoyed otherwise.

Eta: We do make sure to keep the kids fairly quiet though.

Probably depends on the office. Mine has no issues with kids. I always have dh there to keep her occupied.

It depends on your office. Mine allowed our other children, but they didn't really get it (ages 2 and 5). The ultrasound image on the screen just didn't look like a baby to them, and they were bored. If we have more children, I'd probably get a sitter.

Re: Kids at u/s
My child will be at our US. Not because she'll understand or even care - but because we don't use sitters.

Our last office didn't even let DH in there or let me watch for the majority of it. This office sent us a sheet that clearly says that siblings are allowed provided that there's an adult other than the patient to take care of them.
