Books about adding baby #2?
Hello all,
I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with baby #2. DS was/is a challenging baby, and I want to be as prepared as possible (I know it is impossible to be completely prepared) for adding another child. I'm worried about balancing routines, jealousies, and how clingy my DS already is (he is 18 months now, should be around 25 months when #2 arrives). Anyway, I'm headed to the library this afternoon or tomorrow, so I wondering if there were any books you could recommend.

well, I like this one and it has a big brother version on the back. But I have not read the big brother version

I have no clue why only the spanish version of the sister one is coming up but the brother one would be the same author

Re: Books about adding baby #2?
We have an 18m, and I'm 15 weeks along. That's an awesome idea, I think it would be really fun to do a book about it. Although DD loves dolls and all things baby. I haven't really talked to her about it yet because I don't know how much she would understand, and 6 more months is an eternity to her.

Do you mean you want a book to explain to your DS, or a book for you to make the transition easier? I might have to look into both :)

These are the ones we've found for DD. Most of the others I've looked at were too focused on sibling rivalry, and I don't think I want to introduce that idea.

Baby on the Way (Sears)
Waiting for Baby
The New Baby (Mayer)
I'm a Big Brother/I'm a Big Sister (Cole)
What Baby Needs (Sears)

There are a couple episodes of Arthur that cover adding a sibling, particularly the series with Binky's adopted sister, Mei Lin.
