newborn covers to fitteds ratio???

how many newborn covers should you have to fitteds?? i have 29 fitteds and only 5 covers, would 9 or 10 be better?? i didn't use fitteds very much with my DD so i'm not sure.

I think you should be okay with what you have. Fitteds hold in that nb poop so much better! Maybe grab one or two more just to be on the safe side!

5 is pretty good.. about one cover for every 6 fitted is what I like and 1 cover for every 3 prefolds/flats or lay in inserts.

Ok thanks everyone. I used prefolds and covers with my DD so I was thinking 3:1. Maybe I'll just get a couple more cheap ones just in case.

I think I had 6-8 with the last, and sometimes that wasn't enough. Going to aim for 8-10 this time.

I had 40 some fitteds and 4 covers. It was fine, but we did coverless a lot. I mainly rotated between 2, then rotated between the other 2 while the first 2 were being washed.

I think that's plenty! We have 35 fitteds and 7 covers, and at two weeks old, I don't think we have even used all 7 covers yet. Fitteds hold everything in so you don't need a bunch of covers!

Well then that settles it. I'm finally done worrying about the newborn diapers.lol
