my pumpkin cheesecake mishap
was making this recipe http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/...a-9253538e5958 and after i mixed everything up and was ready to pour it i realized that i had use 29 oz pumpkin instead of 15 oz and only 1 pack of cream cheese instead of 4! well i baked as directed and it set beautifully and turned out to be a really thick rich pumpkin pie instead. sooooo yummy

I was going to say that sounds like a very tasty mistake. I love cheesecake and I love pumpkin pie but regular pumpkin cheesecake just doesn't do it for me. But one that is more pumpkin then cheesecake sounds very good to me. might have to try that- but dd wouldn't be able to eat it, I could make her plain pumpkin pie. Sorry-thinking out loud.

Happy mistake! Pumpkin pie and cheesecake are both custards, so really, as long as the rest of ingredients are correct (primarily the eggs), you can totally interchange the volume of pumpkin and cream cheese. So, instead of cheesecake, you have more of a creamy pumpkin pie. Win!
