A car question.

This isn't really a car seat question but I figure the mommas here would still be the best to ask.

Is it ok for me to driver around with my front passenger seat laid down? I've been trying to find a way to be able to get all three girls out of their seats without having to get in and out of the car so many times so that when it's cold we won't all freeze since they don't wear coats in their seats. With the passenger seat laid down I can sit on it to get Karmen (ff behind passenger seat) out then switch places with her to get the other two (both rf) unbuckled and coats on or whatever and I never have to open any doors so the car stays warm.

Plus Karmen loves it since she can see better in front of us.

Re: A car question.

laid down like flipped forward/facing down? or laid down like laid all the way
back in recline position?

I would assume the first one would be okay unless it specifically says in the owner's manual that the seat must be locked in an upright position while moving? Hubby has had 2 door vehicles where the passenger seat will actually lock in place flipped forward/facing down (like, folded in half)...the only way you could "open" it back up was to pull the little lever on the side of it.

If it were reclined all the way back, I would think that would pose some foot /leg/positioning comfort issues for the kid sitting behind it, and the child there would probably destroy the top headrest area of the seat with their feet?

My DH's car is the same way. I would *assume* that it would be fine, but definitely check your owner's manual.

yes folded in half facing down. I didn't see anything in the manual about it that why I thought I would ask here
