Time4learning experience and reviews

Would love any experience/reviews of Time4learning dot com. Looking to change it up a bit for my kids. Having a hard time keeping up with everything. They are age Prek, 1st gr, 3rd gr, and 5th gr. So tell me the good and the bad! and if it would fit ok in a christian home?

Thanks!
Kindra

I am not coming from a Christian perspective, but I think for those ages, it can work great! We used it for DD1 during the summer as a trial, and got a free month for doing a blog review. I liked it for that, and that she could find lessons on her own that she was interested in. I wouldn't go as far as saying it is a full curriculum at that age, but I would say it is a great supplement. I think their time and attention was geared more to the younger grades, so those might feel more complete than the 5th grade one did.

I think everything was largely secular, and they did have some history lessons that talked about the growth of some religions, but honestly I didn't follow along with her in everything, so I can't comment. She didn't bring up anything that seemed odd though.

We just started using it for the same reason as you are thinking of, TIME. I have three prek, first, and fifth and it works well for us. I use it more for a supplement than a whole curriculum. I like that I can find lessons that give the kids more practice after we have gone over in a lesson.

We are currently using it for DS1 (for 2nd grade because we hit a rough patch and needed to get through it. It is good, but not wonderful in my opinion. He's still learning, but I think he doesn't catch as much as he should be. We will probably be transitioning back away from it after Christmas break.

It's decent. At least the Math and LA portions are. Didn't like the Science and History portions at all. I think it's better more as a supplement than actual full curriculum though.
