Chubby baby leg chafe

I just found a chafed area behind my baby's knee. It's red and shiny. I cleaned it out and rubbed diaper rash cream on it, but as I was doing so it felt really full and swollen. Like the tissue under the skin is swollen and making the skin taut. The fat under the other knee is tender and soft, but the back of the chafed knee is hard and bulbous. Is that normal for chafing?

Are you sure it isn't eczema?

Not 100% sure but it looks like the areas that get chafed/red in the folds on her thighs and wrists. It's buried in a fold, so I'm thinking I just didn't get it dried out last time she bathed. I'll keep on eye on it but I'm just wondering about how hard the tissue under the skin is.

I first thought eczema, too. Or maybe a yeast inf? This is from WebMD:
"Yeast infections of the skin are called cutaneous candidiasis and are caused by yeast-like fungi called candida. They occur when yeast on the skin grows more actively and causes a red, scaling, itchy rash on the skin. Yeast infections are not contagious.
Yeast infections may affect nearly any skin surface on the body, but are most likely to occur in warm, moist, creased areas including the armpits and the groin. Candida infection is especially common among people who are obese or who have diabetes. People taking antibiotics are also at risk."
