Anybody have a guess? It's on my 9 month ds2 leg. He's been fussing with his leg today so I don't know what to put on it.

Eta: added pic after using the coconut oil. It's magic!!! Amazing! It's even helping with a strange patch on my face. Thanks again!!!

Re: Guess this rash
Is it a rash? It almost looks like severely dried skin.. I'm not good a diagnoses though :(

I lotion him all the time and it has just gotten worse. So maybe not a rash. But I wasn't sure if it looked like excema or a reaction to food or something like that.

My sons are bi racial and have drier skin like their dad but we are constantly moisturizing.

Try aquaphor or coconut oil and see if that helps...
That looks like dry skin to me and not a reaction to food.

I was also going to suggest coconut oil.

Ditto on the coconut oil

It looks like eczema to me. When my boys get it, I use Burt's bees baby bee fragrance free lotion. That seems to work better on them than coconut oil.

Re: Guess this rash
Definitely looks like eczema. When my boy gets it, regular lotion does NOT work at all, sometimes makes it worse. We use CJ's Butter, Aquaphor mixed with Lubriderm, or Mustela's Stelatopia. I just greased him down tonight. I have never tried plain coconut oil, but CJ's has it in there (along with shea, beeswax, lanolin, cocoa butter, olive oil and I forget what else). CJ's is always my primary rec for eczema. Tonight I mixed it with Lubriderm (makes it easier to spread).

Good luck! Eczema is the pits.

Re: Guess this rash
I was going to say eczema, too. When you saw that he's been 'fussing' with is leg, could it have been because it itches him?
