Blessed with Children, Struggling for More week of January 7th

This thread is for women that have children who are trying to have more and struggling with infertility (IF). You fall into the IF category if you have been trying for more than a year or if you have known fertility issues. Some have secondary IF and some have primary IF. Some of us are TTC naturally and some need treatments of some type. All are welcome!

We also have women who are praying to make it. Due to prior losses or IF they don't feel like they should join a due date board till after the first 12 weeks. We are truly happy to support you as you transition. Please just keep in mind that we are a group of woman struggling with IF and be sensitive to that as you post. If you put a pregnancy ticker or smiley in your signature, please turn off your signature when you post in this thread. Thank you!

Please note: When your information needs to be updated, please highlight the area that needs to be updated. This will make it easier for me to update you. :goodvibes:

If you'd like to be added please post your info using the format below. Please note: I remove names if you are inactive for one month. This really helps keep the list more manageable, if you would like to be added back, just repost your info. :D

Re: Blessed with Children, Struggling for More week of January 7th

I think it is time that I pass on the thread. I think this week will have to be my last week. I will still be cheering you all on though and will be checking in on everyone all the time. Hopefully someone will take on the thread so that you can all still support each other through the struggles.

Carrie- Yikes!!! You poor thing!!! I was miserable when I had that happen- it went all down my thighs too- it must've been some sort of iodine or something. In fact, I don't remember what I took to make it better because it was such a terrible memory- my brain is blocking me from remembering it all. Hang in there- hope you get relief soon!!!
Oh- and good luck tomorrow!!!! I can't wait to hear how it goes :)

Robin- Got you updated. :)

Not oversensative at all. I've skipped two family parties over the holidays because I couldn't take seeing my neice who was born with in two weeks of my would be due date with the one I lost last year, or my pregnant sister in law who is due two weeks after I would have been next year. Sunday I agreed to go to dh's grandma's for dinner because he promised no body else was planning to be there and his pregnant sister and her dh and four kids showed up. The oldest also happens to have a birthday within a week of when another of my losses was due, so I just really was a mess. I made it through half an hour when I told dh I needed to go and I cried most of the way home. So no, to me, you seem like you're doing great. I wish I wasn't still such a mess.

Thanks. Its just that her baby and mine would have gone to school together, she lives 3 houses down and our other kids are all friends, so it really was hard to see. I cried for an hour afterward. And then I took an anti anxiety. And then I went to bed. I'm not much better today though, I think I'll need another one tonight. I can't seem to get through more than a few days without taking an anti anxiety lately, especially because my anxiety keeps me awake at night. so no I'm not doing great unfortunately. I'm a mess also. I'm going to counseling Thursday. I'm nervous but really hoping it will help.

The meds I've been taking are dh's (bad I know, but I need something to be able to function) but they are a class D. Anyone know if there is a safe anti anxiety for TTC? I probably need to go in to my dr. You don't think my RE would just call something in for me do you?

I sometimes think this all just isn't worth it and I want to give up. But then I still want another baby and I think that giving up I would still feel sad, I don't know, it just sucks.

Re: Blessed with Children, Struggling for More week of January 7th

Thanks so much Amy! Do you want me to send you everything in an email? I forgot how to pass it on... I think if you just cut and past it- you lose the colors?

I would call your RE and ask- they might just call in a prescription to help you out. I am so sorry it has been so hard Amy. I don't know what is considered safe, but I think right now you need to take care of yourself.

I also want to say that I had breaks- and those helped. We had a forced break while my husband went through chemo, but it was actually something that really helped us. I wouldn't give up hon- it will happen for you. I would take it easy on yourself though and do what you need to to feel better now.

That is teh exact conversation Dh and I were wrestling with all weekend. I'm really starting to wonder if we were just only meant to have one child and it's time to give up. As for your question about the meds, I'm honestly not sure, but I'm starting to think I need to look into it as well.

Thanks so much Amy! Do you want me to send you everything in an email? I forgot how to pass it on... I think if you just cut and past it- you lose the colors?

Yeah We are taking this cycle off, and then I'm not sure, I want to try next month, but we will see how I feel. We have had breaks too, and they help, but I'm starting to feel the clock ticking. I am turning 30 this year, and I know, we still have lots of time, but my youngest starts kindy this year too and I am just starting to feel like come on, this needs to happen, I don't want my youngest to be 12 years younger than his/her siblings, kwim?

:hugs: I'm sorry you are struggling. I would if you are having a hard time. The meds do help me so much, I just worry about how they affect ttc and if I did get pg. how they would affect the baby.

I might call my RE this week sometime, Its just kind of embarrassing you know? I know I shouldn't be but I feel like I've failed at getting and staying pregnant and now I'm failing again at handling it well.
