I think these would be considered contours - someone gave them to me, so I'm not totally sure. :) But they are basically a contoured shape (get slimmer at the crotch) and we use them by just folding them inside a cover - no pins or snappis or anything. They have an extra layer of fabric in the middle. They are pretty trim and super absorbent - we've never had a leak with them. We just have too many and they are way too big for my newborn girl, so I wanted to sell them so I could get her some that fit. :)

They are in good shape - like I said, we use them in a large rotation and they have been great. A few very slight stains on the inside (pictured - I haven't tried sunning since we live in a condo) and a couple of white spots on the outsides of a couple.
