Will OPK tell me if I am ovulating today?
 

I use Creighton Method NFP and have been fertile the last 2 days, but today I feel the pain and bloating of ovulation....I was expecting 5-6 more days before O....Now I am wondering if I missed some fertile days and want to go get an OPK to reassure myself that I am NOT ovuating yet...I have been doing NFP for years and never had O show up this soon...Help?

A positive opk will tell you your about to ovulate (most of the time). Some women get a few days of positive opks, with it remaining positive even on ovulation day. When it gets really really negative I know I've already ovulated.

I usually have a +OPK the day of and the day after O and then negative.

Okay, took one last night and it was negative, but barely. Almost as dark as the control, not quite. Today's test was very very negative. So do you think I did in fact O early (yesterday) and it was a dark negative because of the tail end of the LH surge? If so, we may be in for a baby in October. . . .

I have been pregnant six times before, and all but the first were conceived on the first month of TTC. Two were actually surprises (well, I was being lazy with charting but knew it was a risk!), so I am fairly certain that a little slip up of my chart will make a baby.

Id guess that you already ovulated then. Good luck :goodvibes:
