Balance bike for short little legs

My daughter has a balance bike that my 18 month old, 50th percentile son would love to ride but he needs to grow an inch and a half for it. Did you find a balance bike for your short kid? Thanks.

The Strider is the shortest one I have seen. Most other brands have a higher seat height. We really considered getting Poppy one for her birthday last December but I really wanted a more girly looking cruiser style bike so we decided to wait until she grows a bit. Weight was already a concern because she is barely 25lb and some of the bikes are more than 1/2 her weight:chuckle:

I was looking into getting a balance bike for my son and found this great comparison/ratings site: http://aperfectplayroom.com/?p=2019. It lists the seat height ranges for each different brand of balance bike.

I hear you... my son was 20 pounds at 15 months and he has probably only gained a pound since then.

Thanks for this, very helpful. Looks like any of the acceptable bikes are still too high for our son, who has a 10 inch or less inseam.
