big toddler!
Hi mamas! I have a very big toddler: 3 years old, but wears 4T to 5T pants. He's about 44lbs. He's very tall and thick...legs and bum are especially thick. He's potty trained, but we still need diapers for night and nap. I had been doing disposables with him, but started doing cloth with my new baby, and figured I might be able to also do cloth for the big man. I don't know what diapers come in a size that big, and which are best for overnight. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!
P.S. I'm open to all kinds of diapers...I used BG and prefolds/Bummis covers with the midget. I even have some brown edge Cloth-eez that I could use in a cover for the big man. |
No idea on diapers but my four and six year olds wear the nighttime trainers I make.

Superundies nighttime or Ladder Hill Designs overnight trainers. I use both on my preschooler who still has some nighttime wetting issues. A superundies pocket works too depending on what you stuff it with.
As far as diapers go, Drybees large are pretty big and they might work too. They fit my preschooler (42 inches, about 40 lbs) |
I was just on the GAD site today and they have sizes up to 7 years.

Re: big toddler!
I use Happy Heinys size XL on my 41 lb DD. She is tall and super chunky and they fit very well. They are pockets and there is a lot of room to stuff like crazy if he's a heavy nighttime wetter.

Re: big toddler!
I think FuzziBunz makes an XXL diaper that you could stuff with whatever you probably already have.

Re: big toddler!
Snap-ez.com makes bigger diapers. They are really great to work with :)
