The mysterious, greasy stains from my washer
 

Where the heck are these coming from? I have an HE Whirlpool Cabrio. We don't use fabric softener (just vinegar on occasion) and I keep seeing these random grease stains on our dark clothing. DS's newest grey shirt was slathered in grease streaks.

None of our regular clothes are greasy. DH and I do not work or roll around in grease. I don't dump cooking oils in the machine along with detergent. We don't love bacon in my house, so no one's eating that and using their clothes instead of napkins.

So what is it? How do I get it out?

Are you using homemade detergent? I discovered the same problem because the fels naptha in mine wasn't dissolving right in the cold water.

Nope, always empty pockets. Nope to homemade (used to but not anymore).

ETA: Ah, it seems like it's the liquid detergent not mixing properly. I usually use powder but got lazy and started liquid. Sojomisa, you are my hero!
