Best flat for newbies

So still working on my ttc stash, so far I only have one dipe lol being a nanny that uses cloth diapers I have slowly found what I do and do not like. I hate stuffing pockets, and I really love flats (even more than prefolds) so is there a certain brand of flat that fits newborns? Also what is your favorite fold for newbies

I love the Orange Diaper CO Bamboo Terry Squares and they come in 3 sizes; NB, infant, and toddler. http://www.orangediaperco.com/bamboo-terry-squares-1/

The origami fold or the kite fold was what I used for my son when he was a nb.

We used Osocozy for our newborn in the origami or kite fold. With the kite fold, I used preemie prefolds from Cottonbabies as a doubler. After 6 months, we used GMD larges, either folded or padfolded under Flips.

I have heard Osocozy and DR smalls are good for newbs. Some also swear by Gerber flats in the first few weeks. Even though they are not as absorbent, you are changing so often that it doesn't matter as much. I've never personally used them as anything more than burp cloths. You could also get some GMD smalls and do the modified kite fold for newborns.

We are using Osocozy flats on my newbie. I use the infant kite fold and it works great for us. I also use flour sacks (cheaper but not as absorbent).

Agreed. I think it's so frustrating to find all these great diapers, but never be able to put your hands on them without a struggle.

I think I'm going with something like GMD for all of dd's stash for her baby. I'm too OCD to buy her a few of everything, and all different brands. I think I'm just gonna do GMD and just get a variety of their stuff.

We have used GMD smalls birth to potty. They're perfect for gDiapers btw.
