Canadian shipping
So is it just me or is their a lot of people that do not ship to Canada from the US? Seems every time I find something they end up not shipping. I just wish they'd post no ca shipping when they post stuff for sale.
Anyone else find this?

Re: Canadian shipping
I always assume they don't unless otherwise indicated. Shipping to Canada is usually (but not always) a bit more expensive, depending on where you live. The last little while the prices have gone up quite a bit from the US, which is frustrating.

I've had 50/50 luck with shipping to Canada. Some say yes and done say no

It's a bit of a hassle because depending on the post office you have to have a customs form filled out in pen prior to entering the post office. One lady was sent away because her writing wasn't legible apparently.
Also another way they ship is to have pick up at their house, which to Canada costs a boatload, but cheaper for us if they go to the PO, more inconvenient for the shipper.

And yeah, it does cost more.

You can always see if the item will fit in an oversized letter mail.

Re: Canadian shipping
I'm new to the site and didn't realize there was a canada for sale forum and i bought diapers and got scolded for not telling her I was in Canada. Simple mistake.. now I know.

It would be good for people to mention in their add where they ship to.

Re: Canadian shipping
I actually find it quite rare that someone will NOT ship to Canada from the US. I've made many, many purchases on DS and for the most part, mamas are more than accommodating. There is the occasional one who will outright refuse, but in my 3+ years experience, I can probably count on my fingers how many times someone has refused to ship to me, It's crazy how much cheaper it is to have someone ship to Canada from the US (possibly thousands of miles away) than to have someone in the next province over ship the same package.
