I am sick, have been up most of the night with a stomach bug. Just called in sick. At least DH and DD seem a-ok.
But DH always does the AM routine - I am gone before either of them wake up - and if DD gets a glimpse of me in the morning it's not pretty (as she then expects a whole day of Mommyland aka the weekend).
So here I sit on the laundry/powder room floor next to the toilet, praying I can keep quiet long enough for them to come downstairs and get coats etc and leave. Then I can crawl back to bed :-(
Just a little pity party. God bless DH.

:hugs: I've soooo been there. I go to work before everyone wakes up too. Hope DD made it out of the house without seeing you. It really nice to have a quiet house all to yourself when you're under the weather.

I am so there. I leave the house at 6am every morning. Everyone is still alseep. DH does the morning routine. If I am sick or when I was on maternity leave he still did the morning routine.

There were a few rough mornings when I was up with the baby and he was trying to get everyone else out the door. I tried to stay in bed till they left.

This is exactly what I had to do when I had to stay home sick from work not too long ago. Normally, I'd keep them home with me if I'm home sick, but they'd just started a new daycare the week before and I didn't want to interrupt their weekly routine. So, I hid out in the bedroom while DH got them up, dressed etc and out the door.
