So when do you count cd 1

I have read so many different answers, I'm not temping yet, but last cycle I had red spotting from the 24th until the 26th and then the 27th I had full flow and it ended on Friday the 1st. So do I count cycle day 1 as the 24th or the 27th? This is my first month ttc, so I'm still learning.

I would probably start counting on the first day of bright red flow, even if it is really light.

I had the same question because I keep spotting before af. It seems the consensus is that the first day of actual flow is cd1. It really threw me for a loop this cycle though, because first day was only light bleeding and then went back to spotting, so I never actually felt like I had af. But apparently it was because it was the same number of days as usual, just shorter. Anyway, I'd count the 27th as cd1.

My iDevices are out to get me. Please excuse mistakes. :)

I'm wondering if this means my O date would be off. I am not temping or anything just going by an ovulation calendar (I know they aren't super accurate). Makes me wonder if all this cramping is implantation changing dates makes me 10dpo according to the calendar. So I might go buy a couple more tests because I'm turning into a poas addict

My inertility doctor says nothing counts till your first flow day. Hope that helps.
