What teas are safe?
Specifically for cold/ flu, woke up with a killer sore throat and plugged ears this morning :( I have chamomile , echinacea , and a sleepy time throat tamer wellness tea, can I drink any of them?

I would do chamomile with honey and lemon. :hugs:

For my sore throats I always just do hot water, honey and lemon...I used to drink it because it helped, but now I actually like the flavor better than tea!
sorry, i'm really bad at autocorrect and I don't like proof reading! |
My midwife suggested sticking to Echinacea. Lots of it.
Avoid cough teas with Licorice Root. Also, don't mix honey into your tea - it loses a lot of its benefits. Eating a spoonful is much more effective. |

fwiw, my '3rd trimester tea' has chamomile in it. I sleep way better now that I'm drinkingi it every night before bed.

Re: What teas are safe?
Elderberry syrup helps with colds and is safe for pregnancy. Raw garlic is also good (eating lots can cause stomach upset, so don't go too crazy) or you can infuse some into olive oil (put chopped garlic and olive oil in a glass container in a pan of water and heat gently on the stove for 20-30 mins) and rub the oil on your feet.
The chamomile and echinacea should both be fine. Without knowing what's in the other one its hard to say. |
Hope you are feeling better! It was suggested to me to put 2 tsp raw apple cider vinagear in water and drink it to keep sinus clear. That really helped with my cold.
