Basically it's Wednesday

We are a group of parents that chat and support each other.
We have been at this for a while so some of us are out of the diapering stage.
...some were out and are back in again.
Every once in a while we actually get to answer a diaper question or two in here.
If you are looking for a very diverse and open group come on over and chat.

I'm trying to plow through the general house cleaning, but am finding my back getting so achy! Guests will be here in 2.5 hours... Still need to finish laundry, wipe down bathroom, vacuum, sweep n mop kitchen, wash a few dishes and assemble pot pie #2.

Gah, feeling overwhelmed!

:hugs:

Alive. Feeling that that is about all, right now. Got excellent news today and I am too tired to even feel happy. Maybe over the break I will get a... break.

:yay: for great news!

:hugs: too.

Oh I am glad you got good news Mel. Is it about the job?

Banana bread in the oven. My house smells :yummy: right now!

That's what I wanted to know.

Yay for banana bread. I need to make that too. I have buttermilk now so I'll probably make it today.

Yep. Was offered and accepted the job. But I feel really stressed all the same.

Ah well. I am going to go to bed pretty early tonight, I think.

:yay:

Yes. The offered and I had to decide today, so I went for a sure thing rather than the other that I wouldn't even be able to interview for until two weeks from now. Everything happens for a reason, right?

Makes sense.

Morning mamas. :needcoffee: It is too early for me to fiigure out duplicate threads, LOL.

Mel, is this job closer to home? At E's school? I forget, you talked about several and they are all blending together for me. I'd take the sure thing too. ;)

I am STILL hurting from the shoveling. I am a lightweight, I guess. And to add insult to injury it has been warmer and sunny since that day and it is all melting now. :gah: Why didn't it do that when I needed the parking space? :reaction:

Good. Closer to home is always good. ;)

I have filled and run the DW. Trying to talk myself into rebooting laundry. It will only hurt for a short while, really. And I need to start dinner. IDK what I even put on the menu plan, LOL.

I have dangled a carrot for the girls. They haven't had anyone over for a playdate this school year that doesn't already live on our street. They seem to think everyone just socializes at school/activities/church, never been really inspired to invite anyone. Maybe that is largely true here, IDK. I told them that Fridays are now pizza party nights, and they can have anyone over. They just need permission from said kid's parents to ride the bus home with them, and the parent and I can discuss pickup. I doubt they will have anyone over this Friday but at least I have planted the seed.

Yay Kari! Everything is on the up on that front for you!

I am relying on my manservant  to help me with the laundry. My penance is I have to continually play Rory's Story Cubes. Which was fun the first ten times. :giggle2: Playing it 20+ times a day with just Ian makes it lose some of its charm. ;)
