Does anyone use wool doublers?

A few yrs ago right before I took a cloth break I remember something new & hot was wool doublers to tuck in between dipe & cover (not against baby's tush, lol). Seems to me like they'd be best with a truly breathable cover like fleece or wool. I haven't seen anyone mention them in a while, wondered if it was still a cool idea. I was thinking about felting things and it got my mind wandering

 I was just asking dh if he minded this old sweater he has being cut up for that very same reason! Would love to know how they work before I felt it. :) Would they wash with everything else??

:lostit: Great minds think alike.

I wouldn't wash them with the diapers, personally. When I felt things I do it inside a zipper cloth bag (not a mesh bag) because the fuzzies escape and clog up the washer drain.

I do know they work great, notice how much water your soakers absorb? I filled a bowl to wash some shorties the other day and they sucked up every drop in it

I am actually offering them on my website now!! I just made (crocheted) my first one and it came out great! It is a large/xL so I have to revamp my pattern for the smaller sizes!!

I do for naps or over night when I use our recycled wool soakers that are a lil' thin (aka not felted) but w/the doublers it works great.
