Please help choose yarn

I'm going to have a dress knit for my DD for this coming fall. What type of wool would you use? We have a few sweaters (sadly we are out of longies), one of Merino that is super soft, but tends to lose its shape pretty easily, one of Superwash that is fine. I'm likely going to do a solid, maybe with a bit of colorway to accent but I'm not sure I want any colorway on it at all (though if I can find MM poppies, I probably will!). This is the dress

I'll be doing the style of the blue dress (TinyPanda) at the very bottom with no ribbon, short sleeves and a hood. Thank you in advance!

I have some poppies on bfl superwash dk...
This dress is adorable and poopies is one of my favorite colorways but I would do a solid. I tried to knit it on variegated yarn and the purls at the front and back didn't look right.

No idea about yarn since I dont knit, but that first picture is absolutely freakin adorable! I would so pay someone to make an outfit for my daughter identical to that! Except maybe in a blue to match her blue eyes! But seriously i so wish i could knit now!

I agree, I need to do a solid, for the body. There is a dress on the page that has a tiny bit of colorway just around the hood, and I think I may do that. What type of wool to use though? SW, Cestari, etc?

Cute pattern! For solids, KnitPicks swish is a budget-friendly superwash. If you can splash out a little, I love Madtosh Vintage!

you should find a picture/color you like and have custom yarn done. I have superwash merino if your like.

Oh nice.. I would do a solid and this is a different pattern but red is one of my fave colors for solids.

and for a top depending on the gauge of the pattern if it's dk I would do a superwash DK or licorice twist or even Gaia.

Worsted I would do BFL or Aran Gaia.

Very good, thank you so much for the specifics, this is exactly what I needed! I know what kind I'd want for longies, but for a dress I"m lost!
