Flip day time insert worth it?
What's the difference between that and a flat? Debating if I should buy a pack.

I was just going to post this same question! I'm debating adding 6 of these or 6 jersey hemp flats and I can't decide! Looking forward to responses!

Serged edges instead of hemmed and it's made of their super soft organic cotton, not Birdseye like your usual flat.

Re: Flip day time insert worth it?
I have bought both. The daytime are sposie trim. They work OK. They look like flats. The "nighttime" were a favorite among our moms, even though on the bulky side, because they are super absorbent (and some did use them at night). Since they added the day time inserts, the price of the nighttime is -- not going to happen, I'm annoyed.

I've moved on to Chelory AI2 inserts, which are the price the flip nighttime used to be, and look reasonably trim. Some should arrive shortly, and I'll let you know.

If you are looking to get through a couple of hours in the day, and super trim, easy to wash, they are fine, I guess, but I have plenty of other options that can do that. They are REALLY soft.

When i use the flip flat I have to use a doubler, and its $6 each. When i use imagine bamboo flats, no doubler. I think they are $3-$4 each? I'm never buying another flip flat, but i love my imagine bamboo.

Re: Flip day time insert worth it?
I am surprised no one pointed out that they are not shaped like the flats we are used to! They are long rectangles that you fold over pretty much for pad folding only. The flats I am used to are big squares that can be folded a zillion different ways and pinned, boingo'ed or snappied on. Don't get me wrong, Flip day inserts have a place in my stash since they are sposie thin, super soft, wash and dry easily and a decently absorbent but honestly we don't reach for them often since we like to actually pin/boingo our flats on.

Re: Flip day time insert worth it?
So as far as absorbency goes, it's only OK? I thought I had read in various threads that they were really absorbent. But then I was looking at the GMD page and it said that they're only as absorbent as a newborn prefold ( Is that true?
