Paleo Recipes

Come share your favorite simple Paleo recipes! A few crock pot ones would be great.

I need true recipes, no "mix this add that." Lol.

Wish I could help, but I'm a make it up on the fly type of cook. There are tons of paleo blogs, though.

Have you checked out marks daily apple dot com? There are forums there and lots of recipes.

Yeah, I tend to do the same thing. It's rare that I'll actually use a recipe for dinner type foods, more for baking and paleo desserts

Spaghetti bolognaise sauce is always a good one though, you can load it up with veggies as well as meat, use a good chicken stock, then put it over pasta for those who are not paleo (dh) and over fresh veggies for me.

One from Mark's daily apple that I did make was bacon wrapped smoked oysters. Ok, not so much as a recipe but more a "take your bacon, wrap it round a smoked oyster, secure with a tooth pick and bake for 20 mins."

That's my kind'a cooking :giggle:

Re: Paleo Recipes

I am not paleo, but a lot of what I make would qualify as paleo ;) I usually just mix stuff together these days... tonight, for our little ones, I made:

1. Cauliflower rice w/ veggies and sardines

- Half a head of cauliflower, cut it up and run it through the food processor until it looks like "rice"
- Half of a portabello mushroom, cut up
- Sautee "rice" and mushroom in Kerrygold grassfed butter w/ turmeric & Himalayan sea salt & pepper (they love the yellow color of the "rice" from the turmeric, and it's supposed to be super healthy!)
- Boiled some frozen veggies to mix into the "rice"
- A can of sardines divided appropriately between the 3 of them, the sardines put on top of the "rice" mix for my older two and cut up for my 1 yo.

The other day I made the Chicken with Cauliflower and Olives from Elana's Pantry (blog). It was awesome! Link:
