Turn pasta salad to pasta soup? How?
I made a homemade pasta salad with mini penne pesto olives tomatoes and feta and Parmesan cheese and grilled chicken. Of course I made way too much and we are pasta salad'ed out. How can I turn this into soup so I don't waste it? We are trying to stretch our food budget as much as possible

I don't think I would make soup, but with a white sauce it would probably make a good casserole. I don't know how to make "real" béchamel. I suppose it would just be cream or milk thickened with a roux (equal parts butter and flour cooked until thick), but being dairy allergic I make it with cashews and almonds. Anyway. That's what I would do. Add some spinach or peas, and add some mushrooms and a béchamel. Or I guess a cream-of soup might work too. Then bake it until it's heated through.
