Widwife and homebirth

I just found out I am pregnant with number two and would love nothing more than to have a midwife and try for a home birth. Is there anyone in SoCal that can point me in the right direction?

I'd start with your state's midwife association if there is one. Or maybe post in the California Locals section on here?

Yes - start by looking at the directory for the state midwifery association to find midwives near you. You are probably in an area that has more than a few options for providers so I would highly recommend meeting with a few of them to find one that you really click with. (Usually the initial visit is free.) Not to promote another forum but, you might want to check out mothering.com homebirth forums and reviews as their community has lots of info on homebirth, midwives, etc.

I was this woman's doula for her second birth and since then she's become a doula and is apprenticing midwifery. She has experience with the socal birth community.
