Good question. From what I have read here, it seems serged flats and knit flats are less likely to curl.

ETA: Sorry, I don't have any brand recommendations.

my diaper rites lay flat after the first 10 or so washings, and i find them very absorbent too :)

Any others opinions I was going to buy 3-4 different ones to try then buy a lot of my fave :)

After washing/drying mine a few times they are no longer EXACTLY square though. That drives me the same amount of bananas.

This is kinda unfair given that Nicki's is out of stick, but the imagine bamboo edges lie flat after washing and drying. The serged edge ones I had did not (they were blueberry).

ohhhh my lordy i know what you mean. i realized, at least in my case, the ones that are not perfectly square are the ones i skimped on during prepping! i have 2 dozen, the first dozen i washed on hot then dryed and i did that 3x the second dozen i split up (thinking i was going to sell 6) and i washed 6 on hot 2x in a row then dried once and those are the 6 that are not square! i ended up needing the other 6 in my rotation and i washed then dried those 3x the right way and they are all square!
