Tell me about making mama cloth!
 

I would like to make my own. My mom gave me several yards of flannel and I picked up some microfleece. Can anyone give me hints, or a place to get a free pattern? How many layers? How long? Any info you can give me to get started would be great! Thanks, Danni :goodvibes:

The site that I used for my pattern no longer has it on the website. It was very simple--just 2 pieces shown together with absorbant fabric in between and a snap to fasten underneath the wings. I still need to make some with more absorbancy for heavy flow (may try the style in the links above). For light days, I use flannel for the exterior and a Walmart washcloth cut to size for the interior. HTH!

My mom just made me a huge stash using this pattern---we just used flannel and microfiber inners. I actually just took the pantiliner pattern and added 1/2" around teh whole thing to make maxis.
