Kissaluvs question

I'm new to the idea of cd'ing and am planning on using them with baby #4 due in about 6 weeks. Most people I've talked to recommend kissaluvs for newborns because of the fold down part that gives room for the cord. But- can anyone tell me what the difference is between the "contour" and the "fitted" styles? I see from most websites that the fitted is more expensive- but since my dh is not on the cd bandwagon I'd like to go with something that will be the easiest to use so that maybe I can make a convert out of him.

Re: Kissaluvs question

Don't do the contours!! The fitteds have nice elastic at the legs and back to keep that wonderful nb poo in. The contours don't and it will leak out...everywhere. I got a few not knowing and tested this out, everytime was a leak. Check out the FSOT section for some great deals, that is where I got most of mine.

Re: Kissaluvs question

Right after I posted I went back to the kissaluvs site. I kept wondering why the fitted were almost double in price. I figured out this time that the fitted have the snaps, etc- the contoured don't. There is no way I'd try the contoured now. DH would never buy into cd'ing if we had to use pins- and I know I wouldn't last long either!

Definately go with the fitteds over the contours. They're great! Swaddlebees makes a great velour fitted with a snap down notch for the cord too.

Have fun!! :)
