Anyone make their baby's food?

Just wondering if I am the only one here, because I made a post in the Kitchen section over a week ago for us to share recipes but NO ONE posted!! Unbelievable! I can't believe that all these crunchy mama's have no cool or favorite recipes for their baby's food! Danni

I do. I made all dd1's food. DD2 has just started solids so everything is just single ingredient fruits and veggies right now. I have a book by Annabel Karmel (i think) that has some great recipes for baby food.

When ds was on baby food I made all of it for him. I used www.wholesomebabfood.com and the book Super Baby Food. No recipies spring to mind atm.

Hi! I am new here. I just joined a few days ago. Before I started to stay at home I used to teach classes on how to make your own baby food. I haven't been teaching for about 3 years but I do have some great recipes for teething biscuits and other great ideas for kids. I will have to dig those recipes up and post them if anyone is interested.

I second http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/. Though I have to say that when my DD was eating baby food, I just really did the basics. I didn't do any fancy recipes.

I started off giving my LO avacados... he loved them ..and still does..

After that.. ( he was 7 mths anyway ) I just mushed up our food that we were eating.. he LOVED.. green beans.. potatoes.... and I actually cooked butternut squash ..and the family loved it.. he ate what we ate though :)

I mean pureed stuff but more along the lines of meals that you puree. I made a lovely fish chowder hat she loves and a few things with chicken, one with peaches and another with apples and carrots. Just wondering if you have found any other favorite recipes!

nothing fancy here either. I steam the food, puree it to desired consistency, put it in ice cube trays, cover and freeze. Once frozen, I remove the cubes and place in a ziploc. I mix up the veggies or fruits once defrosted. I also have the super baby food book and the little mouths. I haven't tried any of those recipes yet since DD just started solids (didn't have those books for my son).

When my DD was younger I made her baby food but I just mashed what we ate and didn't do pureed meals or anything. I did use breastmilk when I mashed stuff up and mixed it in. But otherwise nothing fancy or special. My DS is to little for baby food yet [only 1 month old].
