Leaking--Need help!!
 

ok, i purchased a hh from a mama on here. it arrived and is beautiful, blue dragonfly print, however it leaks everytime i use it. it seems like when ds pees it comes straight through to the outer fabric. i dried it on high to 'reseal' the PUL, but don't think that worked. does it need to be waterproofed? i'm also noticing that it has a faint urine smell on the outer fabric even after being washed. HELP! :yuck:

Did you look at the inside of the diaper? Is there a tear in there? Usually HHs leak when they're worn out, but I have heard of it most in the legs.

not a tear in sight. looks great, just the leakage problem :cry: i do have one that is worn more towards the back, but even it doesn't leak...

Is it repelling and coming out the legs and waist or is it actually coming through the fabric?

it's not coming out of the legs and waist at all, just the front part of the diaper from between his legs up to the aplix is wet to the touch and soaks through his clothes.

If it is coming out of the fabric itself, I would try waterproofing it. I have done that to a dipe and two and it helped.

The PUL is worn out. You can try waterproofing it. I would strip it first to try and get the urine smell out of the fabric.

i know how to strip, but how do you go about waterproofing?
