Kissaluvs and Proraps?

Do Kissaluvs fitteds fit under Proraps?

We're new to cloth diapering and I'm trying to accumulate some different pieces to see what system will work best for us when baby arrives. So far we have quite a few Proraps and prefolds. I want to have some fitteds around as well. Do KL size 0 fit under nb or sm Proraps?

Any sugestions? Thank you!

Re: Kissaluvs and Proraps?

My KL 0s didn't fit under a newborn prorap, but I don't think that had anything to do with the diaper and everything to do with the fact that my daughter was a little over 9lbs. We use small proraps with our KL 0s and that works fine. However, I ordered mine from nickisdiapers and they were running a deal where if you bought 6 proraps, you got another cover free (or for just a few bucks more if you wanted to upgrade). Well, I got a Bummis super whisper wrap. Unfortunately, I only got one of these. I LOVE this cover...much more than the prorap. When we move up a size, I'll be getting BSSWs.

I think the BSSWs are a few dollars more, so if you're looking to not spend as much on the covers, proraps work fine and do the job. I just prefer the BSSW.

ETA: I re-read your post and think your question was more about the kissaluvs rather than the covers...sorry. :) Kissaluvs will work with your prorap covers and as long as you don't have a gi-normous baby like me, i think the NB covers will work too.

Thank you for the info. We were given someone's stash of Proraps, so it's definitely the most economical option for us now. And that leaves room to try a few different covers. So I'll look into finding some BSWW. I figure the more options we have on hand, the more likely we'll find a system that works for us.

I had an 8 lb baby and newborn Proraps fit wonderfully over KL 0s on him.

I think they work great with nb proraps, unless you have a very big baby. After the nb proraps, I highly recommend Motherease Airflow covers to go over you kls. They are poofy, but never leak!

i like proraps and Bsww until my 9month old started taking them off. Now i use either the prorap colors (they come with a baby proof buckle) or the Bumkins because the Aplix is too strong for him to get off.

as far as KL's go i've never used one. I do have some BSWW's and prowraps for sale in size Med. Probobly a little bigger than you currently need LOL :giggle:

Re: Kissaluvs and Proraps?

We used only size 0 kissaluvs at first. We used the NB prowraps until my dd outgrew them then we used the small prowraps. She is 5 months old and weighs 13.5 pounds and we just retired the size 0 and small prowraps this week. We have been using the size 1 kissaluvs with the size M prowraps also since she weighed about 10 pounds. The sizes do overlap some.
