I'm a big chicken noodle soup fan, but have no clue as far as the half and half. Do you like coffee? Alot of it?

Carrots: carrot cake, in potato soup (thickened w/ half & half), carrot juice, in salads, grate them and add them to spaghetti sauce, meatloaf, most any dish!

:bliss: Idaho Potatoes are my specialty: Baked potato w/ all the fixins (we like chili on ours), potato soup, hash browns, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes (whipped w/ half and half and butter), homemade french fries, spudnuts (donuts made out of potatoes...VERY good :drif: )

Half and Half: homemade ice cream, thicken gravy, egg nog, peaches and cream

Enjoy the free groceries! :lostit:

My kids love carrot muffins. You could also make carrot bread or carrot cake.

Half and half is great to use in soups. I would do a nice potato soup with carrots. Mmmm.

Re: what can i make with these items?
I've used half and half to make sauces....

for example, (from rachel ray)
cook some chicken cutlets/tenders/sliced breasts in a little olive oil and then take those out and cook up some sliced mushrooms. Add a little butter and flour, add some chicken broth/stock and a little half &half and let that thicken up. Add the chicken back in....

I've also used cream in some tomato cream sauces (for spaghetti) recipes that I bet you could use half&half for. something like this:,00.html but I got a recipe from somewhere else... some box or can, but I can't remember where. I think I basically took the cheap can of traditional spaghetti sauce and added half &half to it and put it over pasta.

Oh wow. I went to and you can search for recipes with certain ingredients in it:,00.html

Re: what can i make with these items?
I use half n half in mashed potatoes all the time. you might never use regular milk again.

Got chicken and butter, lemon pepper, and season salt, oh and a large baking bag?
Put a baking bag in a casserole dish, fill it with carrots and chunky potato pieces. Sprinkle season salt and lemon pepper over the top. then season the chicken both sides, and lay it on top. Put in 4 sticks of butter (yeah it's a lot, but sooooo yummy) tie the bag, put a few holes in the top, and bake it for 1 1/2 hours at 375. you won't regret it!

If you use half-n-half to make soup (like just regular condensed soup--tomato is a fave around here) it tastes like bisque. Makes a huge difference.
