2 onions, peeled & thinly sliced
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)

1 (10 oz.) can cream of celery or mushroom soup
Paprika

Put half of ham, potatoes and onions in crock pot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then grated cheese. Repeat with remaining half. Spoon undiluted soup over top. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook on low, 8 to 10 hours; high, 4 hours

Oh this sounds so good.....now if I could find a way to replace the cream soup and cheese (no dairy for me) :headscratch: I can get cheddar flavored rice cheese....anyone know of a non-dairy cream soup?

You could just make a rou sp? to substitute for thickness and then add seasonings.

Heat equal parts flour and a fat (butter, oil) in a pan until they turn a copper color then slowly add liqiud, soy milk in your case. heat untill bubbly beating with a wisk. Nice creamy sauce, you can add the cheese to that. general rule of thumb is one tbls of flour, one tbls oil, one cup o liquid.
