Anyone know of Melaleuca?

That's the detergent I use for my cloth. It's the fragrance free and all natural. Anyone know if that's okay to use?

My friend gave me a sample and I was wondering if it would be ok for CDs.

we used to get Melaleuca, until I started questioning if the stuff was really natural. Anyway, the Melapower is fine. I never had nay issues with it :)

I *think* that Melapower has brighteners in it. I could be wrong though, so don't quote me!

No Melapower has no brightners in it. But if you want brightners you can order some melabrite to put in with it.

Melapower is perfectly fine for diapers, just be sure to use a small amount. All of mela's products are enviromentally friendly, take one, which is still safer than store bought. They made it up to code for hospitals and daycare centers to use. It is the Sol-u-guard. It is industrial strength.

You can also add a little sol-u-mel to fight stronger oders in your dipe loads and use a little of that and tough n tender for a wipe solution.

DO NOT USE MELALUCA! The laundry detergent (Melapower) has builders and brighteners in it! It also has Tea Tree (melaluca) oil in it. The 'booster' (MelaBrite) has enzymes, brighteners, fragrance, colors, and the oil in it. I made a huge mistake using this stuff. It actually works more like a soap and leaves buildup like crazy. I have recently done a lot of legwork in trying to find a good detergent for us and have found some interesting things. A good place to start is http://www.pinstripesandpolkadots.com, Sarah has some good foundational knowledge with detergents. HTH

Here's the direct link for the page of which Anna spoke:

I've had excellent luck with Charlie's Soap (which is just a name - it's a detergent, not a "soap").

ITA...I know plenty of people that CD and use their products.

I used the renew oil and tough and tender to make wipes, though.

Okay, I just ran upstairs to look at the ingredients on the Melapower (love it for our regular laundry). It says "brightening agent." Don't know if this is the same stuff found in all the other whitening detergents or not, but I don't use it for diaper laundry for this reason.
