Support for NJ Mandatory Vaccine Conscientious Belief Exemption Legislation 5075 Signatures

Description/History:
This petition supports legislation currently in the NJ State Legislature which if passed will allow for a conscientious belief exemption in cases of mandatory vaccine administration.

Additional vaccine mandates are scheduled to go into effect in September, 2008, and will require that children as young as six months of age be given vaccines that in some cases contain neurotoxins such as mercury, as well as other heavy metals.

The legislation will allow parents to claim a conscientious belief exemption to such mandates, but still permit the NJ Commissioner of Health to keep non-vaccinated children out of school and/or daycare in cases of a public health outbreak of the illness associated with the vaccine.
