sad sad story :(

My friend called last night, she told me the most horrible thing. I just want to cry. Her sister is the "mother" of the poor dead baby girl found in north Edmonton, on Wednesday. I was in shock and disbelief. I couldn't form any thoughts other than that poor child. I don't know what to say or do. I can't imagine. Don't want to, and just can't. I am at a total loss. Just needed to vent.

Yes, they are all in a state of shock. Her sis had been over the week before, she asked if she was preggo since she had put on weight (normally very thin)and she denied it.
She says she didn't know. I just don't know how that is possible? To be 7+ months and not know? I would be buying a test if ppl kept asking me, or making an appt with my doc. Why wouldn't you call for help? 911 or friends living upstairs? She is such a sweet girl normally. This will probably ruin her life, and has senselessly ended the life of an innocent child. I have tried not to say much on the matter to my friend, I don't want my anger and frustration to upset her more than she is right now.

Oh man, that's awful. I saw it on the news and was horrified, so I can't imagine knowing the girl or her family. :( Even if she didn't know she was pregnant, she at least should have called 911 when she felt something that large coming from her body. That poor baby.

Yeah her sister is really upset and angry. She said if I saw it on the news I would think that person is a monster, but it is my sister, I know her. But how do I not think that way?
I can't really relate, only imagine. It makes me sad. She is a really nice girl, I have met her many times and spent many hours with her, but WTH? I don't know how anyone could do that. It is just so horrible.

That is horrible!!! I don't watch the news, or get the newspaper, because thing's like this really impact me and I can't bear to know all about it. KWIM? Anyways, on the topic of "not knowing"... I actually have a friend who did not know she was pregnant until 6 months at least. She had a condition that required meds and the side effects of the meds mimic pregnancy (bloated stomach, no period, nausea). Crazy, but true.

But... even if you don't know you're pregnant, you'd figure it out and hopfully do the right thing (call 911)....

I feel horrible for her, and her family, and the baby, and everyone that's affected by this.

:hugs:

My worst fears have been confirmed. Baby was born alive. I feel sick.
