Diary sentitivity
Our son is EBS and I cut dairy shortly after he was born. I noticed he was uncomfortable on days that I had milk products and we had a few afternoon/nights of collic. It worked wonders-- no milk for me made for a totally mellow babe. He is now 3 months and I have a craving for cheese, so I tried to reintroduce slowly and it seems to be going smooth. Except, he seems to be having less frequent and larger bm. It has been 2 weeks since I reintroduced and he has had three days without bm (spread out, not right after each other). Should I cut dairy again? Are these two things related?

Re: Diary sentitivity
I'm not sure if they are related or not, but it's fairly normal for a bf'd baby to go a couple days with out a bm. My ds is 12 wks old and he'll have a large bm every 3 days or so. My friends ds only poops once a week. She can mark her calendar by it! :giggle:

Now, if he seems to be in pain or is having a tough time passing a bm or it's hard, then you may want to cut the dairy back out.

On a side note, if it turns out he can't do dairy yet, I just had a pizza place make me a whole wheat pizza with soy cheese. So yummy! Definately took care of my pizza craving! You could look into an alternative like that.

Re: Diary sentitivity
Sounds like you reintroducing dairy just happened to coordinate with that natural slowing down of EBF baby poops, as long as he's not showing any signs of distress he should be good. I have firends whose kids went 10 days btw. bms , mine always went 2 or 3.
BTW my dd1 had a dairy reaction which he outgrew too, it's not uncommon.
