something safe for drool rash?
 

My baby is 4 months and he is drooling a ton now and always putting fits and fingers into his mouth. I noticed yesterday that he had a little rash on his chin from all of this. What can I use safely to help protect his skin?

I use a homepathic ointment made from calendula, I even used it on chapped lips...its a miracle this stuff I swear.

The stuff I use is imported from Switz. but let me look online for you

Our ped gave me samples of Cetanyl, which has worked realy well on ds's drool rash. When it runs out, I might try the calendula. . that looks like really great stuff!

The stuff I get is 100% pure, I'm trying to find it online you you. It has healed me in SOOOO many ways. I just had the most horrid capped lips, I'm talking I was up at night chapped lips, I used the calendula (which by the way is made form marigolds) and 2 days later they are great.

I also had a rash on my neck once due to unsanitary spa (ick) and between that and bee venom pellets it went away in 1/2 hour!!!

it says its good for the face, so I'm assuming its okay if he rubs his face and then puts his hands in his mouth?

I'm sure its fine, the stuff I use anyways is totally safe. Let me research for you....

I'm sure the natural stuff is better...my ped is pretty mainstream (says my high-needs 8mo is manipulative!)....anyway...he also said aquaphor is the best for that

I used UNpetroleum on Zane- his bottom too. It makes a nice barrier.
