Does anyone use the sassy feeders?

So, I wanted to give DS some solids, but am choosing to give him real food and not storebought baby food. I bought some of those sassy feeders that you put the food in mesh and let them gum it up. DS loved the bananas I put in there, however, I can't seem to get them clean. I put them in the dishwasher and soaked them in water. Does anyone else use these and how do you get yours clean?

Thanks:goodvibes:

It will never be white again, lol. We love ours! I also bought the munchkin ones which are dark colors. BTW I scrub then put in the dishwasher.

banana's stain the worst but other than that just scrub them good.....I've tried sunning them.

We are doing BLW'ing, so we dont use the feeders. We just give her a half a banana. :)

Mine has blue colored mesh, so it's not been a problem. I just wash it by hand with warm soapy water. DS loves pieces of apple, pear, frozen peaches or blueberries, or ice cubes. He's teething so he loves anything cold.

We loved ours (past that stage now) but bananas were the worst. My DD's favorite was frozen grapes for when they were teething - and I didn't have to worry about choking.

Loved them!!

I throw mine in the washer with his bibs. I've found that nothing else gets the rotten banana out!

oh that's a good idea to put it in the washer! I didn't think of that! I used to struggle to get ours clean with Sara. She LOVED it for ice cubes. I put banana in there once and decided that never again would food go in it. Ice cubes and ice cubes alone. And to this day the kid still loves ice cubes!:giggle:
