Anybody got toddler girls with short hair? Pics?

My 2.5 year old has short-ish hair. It's in a bob right now, but sill has length on the sides and such. It's really cute, but it's very thin and already a dirty blonde in color. It looks dirty/oily in no time and gets so stringy. She despises my brushing it cuz it gets all this stringy little knots in it.

When my 6 year old was this age, she kindly cut her own hair. Took a huge chunk out of the side that could only be repaired by either A) a mullet, or B) getting it short all over. We opted out of the mullet:giggle: . Anyway, after we got it cut, we kept it short for a year or so, and now it's super thick (but her hair was thicker to begin with at this age). I was thinking of maybe going ahead and getting my younger dd's hair cut off the rest of the way, to see if it helps as far as it growing back out thicker. Is there any truth to that? The thing is, I'm not sure what kind of cut I want. I don't want it to be overly boyish, but can that be achieved with a short cut? My 6 year old was so prissy and would only wear girly clothes and dresses, so there was no chance of her being mistaken for a boy. My younger dd....dinosaurs, trucks and jeans. Although, lately I've managed to sneak a few shortish dresses on her by calling them shirts, lol. So, do you have a dd with short hair...shorter than a bob? Can I see a pic?

Here's a pic of dd's hair now.

I think the cutting hair to make it thicker thing is just a myth. I think her hair is so cute! :)

Oh my gosh she is so beautiful! I think it is a myth as well. I like her hair the way it is, I would leave it. :)

Her hair is gorgeous.
Hair doesn't get thicker from cutting, it's in the genes. Some styles can make it look thicker or cutting all the wispy bits makes it look thicker.

I would love to see pictures too! My 23 month old has hair half way down her back and sometimes I just don't know what to do with it!

My DD has very short hair but that's cause it's never grown in! (Sorry don't have a pic....I don't have access to flickr from this computer.) But I've always found this kind of haircut (the brown haired girl on teh right) to be really cute on toddler girls, a sort of 1940's or 50's bob:
