Can I join in here?

Hi everyone,

I am now nursing my little 11 day old son - Maddox. :loveit:
He is not my first little nursing son though. I nursed my 2nd son until he was just over 3 years, and my 3rd son until he was 2 1/2 years. (He weaned while I was pregnant with Maddox.)

I would love to have a place where I others understand what I am talking about. :laugh:

I haven't done extended nursing (YET) but your experiance might help me and others here on the path hehe

the longest i've made it nursing was 6 mos...i really applaud the mamas that are able to make it work longer, but i didn't realize that the babies go through times where they aren't so interested inthe breast and then go back to it, so i thought he was just done with it:banghead: and of course that was before i found this board!!! It is very encouraging to hear of so many mamas who have done extended nursing and with this next one, my goal is AT LEAST a year!!!

we've been at it for 17mths now. Still going strong. I have NO idea when it will stop..maybe college?

Hey, My son is 2 in a few days and is still nursing more than ever! Is nursing a 2 year old different than a 3 year old? I am going to try to nurse until I have my next one. Hopfully, they will be about 4 years apart... We'll see how that goes... You know what I mean. How long do you plan to nurse this next bundle? I hope it is going well for you and WELCOME!

For us, the only difference in nursing a 2 year old and a 3 year old is we nursed less as he found his independance.

I plan on nursing this new one for as long as he likes. :D He will be my last child, so I am hoping to nurse forever. LOL

I nursed my first DS for 18 months
I am still nursing my second DS and he is going to be 17 months. I don't think he will stop at 18 months though.
Plus he calls it "beba" when he wants to nurse
