Vintage toy-is there lead in the paint?

I just bought a toy similar to this today for 50 cents at the thrift store! I thought it was a great find...but now that I see my LO putting the rings in his mouth, I'm wondering about lead in the paint. Should I be concerned? It's funny...first I worried about plastic toys...now I'm worrying about vintage wooden toys! Perhaps I should stick with modern wooden toys.:goodvibes:

Yup, agree with the PP, you should be able to buy lead test strips or something. Maybe your ped. office has them available?
