Side Sleeper Soaking Through!

Somehow every time i find a nighttime solution, it only seems to hold for a couple weeks and then we spring another leak!!!! DS always sleeps on his right side (facing me for quick night-time snacks:fami02:), and he now almost always leaks through his llamajama longies or stacinator on that side.

Is that anything crat-like that is bulked up on the sides for side sleepers???

Does anyone else have a good solution for this problem? I would really rather have him in wool, but if i keep waking up soaked, PUL may have to be our solution.

Thanks for your help!

I use mostly PUL pockets that I make myself and just stuff them full! Carmen sleeps the same way... co sleeping ready to chomp whenever she wants and sice it's MY bed i'm doing all I can to keep leaks at bay. If you want to stick with wool, try doublers. More stuffing to soak up the pee! I hope you can find a solution!

get some wool boosters- like a fleece liner but made out of old sweaters. Lanolize and lay them on that side in the area where he leaks :)

I never had leaks with my MotherEase Sandys. Great diapers.

My dd wears a Disana pull on wool cover or Aristocrat at night over her Little Beetle Hemp Original diaper. I add two hemp doublers at night. So far, no leaks. She lays on her side at night to nurse whenever the need arises too.:yummy: Are your covers lanolized enough?

We use a wool cover that I don't know who made it (some help I am, lol) or else a pocket stuffed with one of leobaby's inserts and get no leaks and Kyla is a side sleeper also!

Like pp said, maybe lanolizing again? Or washing? I find when mine need a wash, they leak.

Good luck!

i definitely lanolize the heck out of everything, but maybe everything needs a wash. i'll give that a shot. and i like the soakers from sweaters idea--very clever! thank you!!

Re: Side Sleeper Soaking Through!

If I am using a fitted with wool cover. I actually lay one of his pocket inserts inside the fitted. Using a pocket with that same insert, I don't have to do anything. For my ds I like these inserts because they are wider at one end. So I can stuff that end up front for extra absorbancy. They are the cheapest ones, but to me they work better than all the others. I don't even use the ones that came with my pockets anymore.
