Ripped Prefolds,What did I do wrong?
 

I'm new to cloth and don't have anyone to ask questions to forgive me if I'm full of them

I bought some used infant prefolds off Craigslist yesterday and when I bought them they looked fine. The mom I bought them from said they had never been washed in bleach so I went ahead with the sale

Today I washed 3 of them in hot water with a tiny bit of Purex and now all three of them have holes in the middle(where the dipe is thickest)

What did I do wrong? Can I still use them,until my fluffy mail starts to roll in?

Heck yeah, you can use them! That is a bummer about the rips- maybe she used a snappi on them? :headscratch:

Could I actually not put enough diapers in the wash? Right now I have a very limited supply and a big time pooping 8wk old so as soon as I change her I wash the dipe and cover. Could the machine agitate to hard ripping the diaper. Also what kind of stains does sunning take out. I noticed when I took the first dipe out of the wash there was a little poo stain, even though I ran it through two rinse cycles.Will sunning remove that maybe?

So sorry about your pfds. The good thing is they are one of the lesser expensive dipes though:mrgreen:

You can try sunning them after they come out of the wash. If that doesn't work, try a little lemon juice and then sun them. It should come right out.

sunning always works for me especially on ebf poop!
