Vaccines and fever

My son had his 6 month needles yesterday afternoon (TBR and something else)...he`s had a fever since. How long is it relatively `normal`for them to be feverish...

Re: Vaccines and fever

My son is almost 7 months now, but he had a low-grade fever after his 2 month shots, and it lasted about two days. I'm not sure what the average is, but I would be more concerned with how high the temperature gets, as opposed to duration. If the fever was high, like 104 F for two days, I would definitely call the doctor. Otherwise, I'd just try to keep the temp down and keep him comfy. Hope your boy is feeling better soon.

Thanks, it's been about 102ish (and i've given him Tylenol)...he just seems really really sluggish so I wanted to make sure it was fairly normal.
p.s...I've got an Isaac too!!!

My DD had her 12 month shots and had a fever for almost three days. It was a pretty consistent 101, and she was clearly not feeling well, but it resolved on its own and then she was perfectly fine.
