How much does your 4 month old weigh?

I am asking becasue every one is always saying how tiny Lilly is. Asking if I'm sure she's eating enough and if she's growing properly. Yes, she's eating as much as she wishes (which is 3 ozs every 3 hours or so) and she seems to be growing fine by my standards. She's only been to the doc twice and once was for a cold. I weighed her the other day and she was 13 pounds even with her clothes on (longies, tee and a Medium PW). Does that seem small? She was 7#12ozs at birth. Here's a pic of her yesterday ~

It could be kinda little, but she could just be a petite girl, kwim?

Nathan was 18lbs at 4 months, starting out at 8lb 9oz, but he's just huge! 95%ile in everything! lol

You can check her against a growth chart (girls are normally smaller than boys), but don't go so much WHERE she is on the chart (%ile), but more if she's growing on a curve.

BTW, she's a CUTIE!!! :D

When my DS was 4 months old, he weighted 11lbs 15 oz and was 23 3/4 inches long. That's a nekid weight. He was 5 lbs 4 oz at birth.
HTH

our Lillies are 3 days apart. Mine was 8.10 at birth, and she is 14 or so now (I don't know for sure--she hasn't been for her 4mo check up yet.)I don't think your Lily is that small...someone has to fill out the lower portions of the charts, kwim? My first dd has always been about 20% for weight-that's just normal for her.

I'd say she's fine. She probably isn't a chunk, but as long as she is eating good and meeting developmental milestones, she's okay.

It's hard for me to compare, because at 4 months, Cam only weighed almost 8 lbs. He was 14 lbs by a year though.

Finley weighs about 14 ponds, she was 7 at birth. Aidan weighed less at that age though. I wouldn't be worried about it because she's gaining weight. Some babies are big, some babies are small, just like everyone else. :)

:yeahthat: My dd was 14 lbs at a year; 6 lbs at birth, about 10 at 4 months. Sounds like she's growing fine. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Babies, like adults, come in all different shapes and sizes.
