is this a bad idea?

I have a pair of really nice Freelance Mama longies that are way too big for ds. I'm guessing they might fit him next winter (though it's obviously hard to judge).

Would it be a stupid idea to try to felt them to see if they'll shrink to a small enough size to fit now? Or should I just hold on to them until they fit?

personally i'd hold onto them, once they're felted they pretty much lose their resale value (if you ever plan to resell them).

Ahh, good point! Next time I'll have to be more careful about measurements and get sizes that will fit sometime in the near future  .

how do you know if they are felted or not? I got a pair from a mama and they seem weird. Like they dont stretch very much and are kinda on the rougher side. Are they felted or maybe thats just how they are?

I think you'd not be able to see the individual wool strands in felted ones. They'd be more fuzzy and thicker (although I guess you wouldn't have the originals to compare to). But the wool would be kind of uniform in it's texture, and not have as much stretch.

Hmmm, does that make any sense? :giggle:
